Steps to Accreditation

Accreditation Process

The ED Council accreditation process is a structured and transparent sequence designed to ensure institutions uphold the highest standards of educational quality and accountabilit

1 - Formal Application

Institutions initiate accreditation by submitting a formal application to The ED Council, demonstrating preliminary compliance with core standards.

2 - Preliminary Document Review

The ED Council reviews institutional documentation to verify eligibility and readiness for accreditation.

3 - Institutional Self-Study

Institutions conduct a thorough self-assessment, reflecting strengths and areas for improvement against the accreditation standards.

4 - On-site Evaluation Visit

An expert evaluation team visits the institution to assess compliance with standards through direct observation, interviews, and document reviews.

5 - Peer Reviewers' Report

The evaluation team submits a detailed report highlighting findings, commendations, and recommendations for improvement.

6 - Recommendation to Agency Board:

Based on the peer reviewers' findings, a recommendation is made to The ED Council’s Accreditation Board regarding the institution’s accreditation status.

7 - Issuance of Initial Accreditation (3-5 years)

Successful institutions receive initial accreditation, valid for a period of three to five years, recognizing their commitment to educational excellence.

8 - Annual Follow-up and Cyclical Re-evaluation

Accredited institutions participate in regular monitoring and undergo periodic re-evaluation to ensure sustained compliance and continuous improvement.

The ED Council is dedicated to supporting institutions at every step, ensuring a transparent, thorough, and beneficial accreditation experience.
